Here is another Summer Idea for your Kiddos that’s Super Inexpensive and a Lot of Fun, Plus you can use these Water Bottle Bowling Pins over and over again!
This is an easy craft idea that your kids can help with, My 5 year old had a Blast helping me with this one!
Start with 10 Empty Water Bottles and Lids, Then all you need are Food Coloring, Water and a Hot Glue Gun.
Fill each bottle with Water (Almost to the Top) Add about 3 Drops of Food Coloring to each Bottle. The 3 drops was perfect for every color except Yellow, to get a bright yellow it took about 7-8 drops of food coloring.
I placed Hot Glue around the edges of the caps before screwing them on, this helps keep the caps on when they get hit with the ball :) So I highly recommend securing the caps before letting your kids hit these, it will help them last a lot longer.
Line up your Bowling Pins and grab a Small Basketball or Dodgeball and start Bowling away. We used 4 different colors on our Bowling Pins, there are 4 Blue Bottles, 3 Red Bottles, 2 Green Bottles and 1 Yellow Bottle.
Another idea would be to color sand or Rice and use that instead of the Water but I thought that sounded a lot more expensive and this was an easy craft that we could make with items we already had on hand!
