Have you heard the latest news about your Amazon Prime Membership? The price is going up! We have all the details and how to get the most out of your Amazon Membership!
Amazon Prime Membership Benefits
Amazon Prime Membership
There are tons of perks when Prime Members shop at Amazon. I love online shopping and getting Free Two-Day Shipping (or sooner) on tons of their products is a HUGE benefit! But starting February 18, the price of a new Amazon Prime Membership will increase from $119 to $139 per year.
And it’s not just new members that will pay the increase. Existing members will see an increase in their renewal starting on March 25. Seems like everything is going up so it’s not really that surprising to see but will the $20 increase cause you to rethink your membership?
Monthly rates are going to increase by $2/month. Customers will begin to pay $14.99. Those on the EBT subscription that helps people on government assistance will increase $1/month to $6.99/month!
Amazon Prime Student Going Up
Amazon Prime Student offers students all the benefits of Prime but at a much lower price. However, Prime Student will increase from $59 per year to $69 a year. Check out the 7 Reasons to Sign Up for Prime Students and see all the ways you can save with this membership!
How to Avoid the Increase
One way existing Prime Members can avoid the increase would be to purchase a Gift Membership for $119 before 2/18. Then disable your auto-renew on your Prime account. You can find that by selecting “Manage My Membership” on your homepage. Once your membership expires, you can apply the Gift Membership to your account. That would give you Prime for $119. Will this Amazon Prime Membership increase move you to cancel your membership?
