The red leaves, the beautiful apple orchards, and everything with cinnamon makes me happy. So yes, I’m pretty much a fall lover which means that you can find me in the supermarket aisle buying all the apple cider in bulk to make these Apple Cider Floats.
Because if there’s a thing that I love more than apple cider is apple cider floats. First, they are incredibly easy to make at home, second, they are a total crowd favorite, and third they taste like a million bucks and are a super fun and frugal activity to do with the little ones.
Apple Cider Floats are also the perfect treat to make when the weather is still warmish, but you are craving something with a fall kick. These are packed with a lot of cinnamon and apple flavor and have the perfect dose of creamy and cool ice cream.
I also love how the warm apple cider slightly melts the ice cream. So the result is really really good. While you can use any ice cream you have on hand, I usually prefer to stick with a vanilla one (simple is better sometimes).
The secret to all the flavor punch is heating the apple cider with a bit of cinnamon in the stovetop before serving it. For me, that’s what really amps up the apple cider taste and let’s be honest it only takes a like a minute or two, so there’s not a lot of time involved.
If you want to make it for a big crowd, you can serve it in a punch bowl and place a couple of ice cream tubes into ice buckets at the side. It’s a fun way to entertain on the cheap + it can’t get any better than an ice cream float bar right?
