Beach Packing List | 12 Things You Don’t Want to Forget!
Do you see a lot of beach trips in your future? The arrival of warmer weather means that beach season is upon us, which means it is time to start packing up for your all day adventures in the sand. If you want to head to the beach well prepared, take a look at these 12 must have items to pack for the beach, so you can be sure you arrive with everything you need.

1. Wet wipes & Baby Powder.
These are excellent for cleaning sand off of hands, prepping little hands before eating, wiping faces, and cleaning off beach toys. You can never have enough wet wipes at the beach, so don’t hesitate to load up.
2. Blanket weights.
Take something that can be used to hold down the corners of your beach blanket. These can be large rocks, bricks, or any free weight that will do the job. They will keep your blanket from blowing up and making a huge mess.
3. An umbrella.
You don’t always want the sun beating down on you, so take a beach umbrella to find some shade under. Kids will especially appreciate this when eating or if they want to slip away for a nap.
4. Various sunscreens.
Be sure you take the appropriate sunscreen for each person in your water. Whether it be for sensitive skin, babies, waterproof, or long lasting, choose the sunscreen(s) that will offer you all the protection you need for a fun day.
5. Plenty of fluids.
You want to stay hydrated when at the beach, so be sure to pack plenty of fluids. Choose water, Gatorade, or juices meant to hydrate. This will help you feel your best and make it through the day without dehydration issues.
6. Plastic baggies.
These are great for transporting snacks and sunscreen, but they are also great for taking wet bathing suits home in. This way, the suits don’t get water and sand all over making a huge mess.
7. Easy to enjoy snacks.
Pack plenty of snacks that won’t be affected by the heat and are easy to eat. Ideas include granola, trail mix, granola bars, fruit cereal bars, dried cereal, and pretzels. These are all easy to eat and mess free.
8. Mesh bag.
The mesh bag that oranges and produce comes in is great for beach toys. You can place the beach toys in the bag and dip them in the water to give them a good rinse before leaving, bringing less mess into your car as well.

9. Inflatables.
These are great for floating in the water, but also for resting on. Take an inflatable mat and cover it with a towel for a cozy place to nap that is off the hot sand.
10. A pop up tent.
Take a simple, two person pop up tent to find shade in, let children rest, eat in, or store items in to protect them from the sun. These take minutes to set up, and can offer a nice retreat!
11. Trash bags.
Trash bags are great for putting down on car seats before you head home. It will protect them from water and sand, and can easily be removed when you arrive back home. Just lay the bag down, place a towel over it, and let kids climb in.
12. A colorful flag.
Stick a colorful flag in the ground near your beach blanket so you can be easily seen by your party. Some people even like to take a balloon tied to a string that can flap in the wind so they can easily be found on a beach full of people.
