Best Baked Apple Recipe
To get started you need to Wash and Core 3 to 4 Large Apples. I like to use a sweet variety like a Gala Apple.
The next step is to mix the following ingredients in a mixing bowl:
1/2 C. Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
Fill each Apple with this mixture on the inside, don’t worry it will melt down a lot during the baking process.
Place 1 Tbsp. of Butter on top of each Apple.
Add 1/3 C. of Boiling Water to the bottom of your pan and cover tightly.
Bake at 350 Degrees for 45 minutes.

When these come out of the oven they are Delicious warm, just be careful that sugar syrup will burn your mouth (Ask me how I know) :) Serve Warm alone or with Ice Cream! These also save in the Fridge and reheat in the Microwave well if you want to make a few extras!
I like to save the Syrup to pour over the apples as a topping, this turns into almost an apple caramel glaze in the oven so it’s delicious!
**If you are wanting a “healthy version” just skip the amazing caramel sauce and bake the apples as directed with the water in the pan. The result is STILL AMAZING and you will feel like you are indulging in a sweet dessert without all of the calories!
That’s it! You have a simple delicious fall treat with just a little bit of effort! My family really loves these and Apples are really inexpensive this time of year so this makes the perfect late night snack or dessert for after dinner!
Thank you! I have some apples I need to use and I think I will make these tonight :)
