These Brown Sugar Pecan Waffles are super easy to throw together and cook, and they freeze beautifully so you can keep a stock for when you are in a hurry.
Every Saturday, we make homemade waffles or pancakes. It’s become a tradition in our house and the kids love it! Even if we have to leave the house early in the morning for a ballgame, we just move our waffle and pancake breakfast tradition to lunchtime!
These waffles are not only easy to make and busy day approved, but they are also delicious. They are also a comfort food at it’s finest. You get brown sugar, caramel, and pecan flavors combined into one big waffle.
Let’s talk about freezing these waffles. I love freezing these because you get the convenience of frozen foods, but all the great taste and texture from homemade treats.
I also find that freezing waffles is especially handy since they are not only a great breakfast, but they are also incredibly delicious as dinner! If you asked my family I’m pretty sure they would ask for Brown Sugar Pecan Waffles for any meal of the day.
To freeze them just let them cool completely on a rack, then tightly wrap them and place them into an airtight container for up to 6 months. Once you are ready to serve them pop them in the microwave or on the stove for a couple of minutes (actually, 2 minutes tops) and you are all set for a home-cooked meal in no time. You can also pop them in the toaster if you want to keep them a little crispy!
