How To Make Easter Paper Plate Craft
You want to download and print my free Easter egg template. I give you two sizes, so you can use it for the different sizes of plates. Then cut out the egg shape, and trace it onto your plate. Cut, punch holes, and lace with string. I share my full instructions below to walk you through each step!
Supplies Needed For Easter Paper Plate Craft
- 6″ and 9″ Party Paper Plates
- Yarn in Assorted Colors
- Scotch Tape
- Scissors
- Hole Punch
- Xacto Knife
- Cutting Mat
- Print this Easter Egg Template
Directions for Easter Paper Plate Craft
Start by printing the Easter Egg Template. There are 2 different sizes, the smaller template for the smaller dessert plates and the larger template for the dinner plates.
Cut out the Egg Shapes that you need
Place the Egg Shape on the Paper Plate and Trace using a sharpie or pencil.
Using a Xacto Knife cut out the egg shape from the inside of your plate
Use a Hole Punch to punch holes around the outside of your Egg Cutout
Make sure that you cut an even number of Holes, this will make lacing up the Easter Egg easier.
Cut off a long piece of string.
Tape one end of your string to the back side of the paper plate. You can also place a piece of tape around the other end of the tape to create a needle and make it easier to thread the yarn.
Lace up the yarn through the holes creating a criss-cross pattern over your egg cutout.
When finished secure the other end of the yarn using the second piece of scotch tape.
