Graham Cracker Nativity Activity for Kids

This Graham Cracker Nativity Scene for kids is an absolute blast to create together, and is a great opportunity to talk about the story of Christmas with your littles! All of the supplies are safe to use, and everything is edible! It’s the perfect festive activity for children of all ages!

How to Make a Graham Cracker Nativity

You only need a handful of different supplies for this kid-friendly activity, some of which you may already have at home.

Graham Cracker Nativity Scene Supplies

Graham Crackers
Gum Drops
Mini Marshmallows
Large Marshmallows
Toothpicks
Fruit Roll Ups
Mini Candy Canes
Froot Loops
Frosting or melted chocolate chips

First, glue the graham crackers together for you Graham Cracker Nativity with melted chocolate or frosting. (I melted chocolate and it worked very well!)

Next, create the figurines. Pictured above is the angel. For the figurines, I used three gumdrops secured together with a toothpick. (Use wire trimmers to clip off the excess toothpick on the end. After the gumdrops were secured together, I held the two candy canes together on the angel’s back to be the wings. Lastly, I cut up a Fruit Roll-Up and wrapped it around the angel, securing the wings in place. after placing the angel on the stable, I added a Fruit Loop halo!

After you create all of your nativity scene people (Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the three Wise Men, and the angel), begin placing your animals. The animal crackers were of course easy to add. The sheep were created from large marshmallows, mini marshmallows, and toothpicks! So easy and cute!
