Grilled Cheese Dip Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 block cream cheese, cut into fourths
1⁄2 cup salsa (I like medium, but a spice variety will work)
chives to garnish, optional
DIRECTIONS:
Using a 2 foot sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil, place the cream cheese pieces into the center of the foil.
Pour 1⁄2 cup of salsa over the cream cheese.
Create a foil pack by pulling the long sides together at the top, then folding over twice. Roll the sides towards the center to seal (make sure not to fold up too tight, you need room inside the packet for steam to circulate).
Place the foil packet onto the grill, and heat for 20-25 minutes over a medium setting, or until the cheese is warmed through.
Careful opening the packet – steam will be coming out!
Using a fork or spoon, mix the salsa and cream cheese to combine.
Top with chives to garnish.
Serve with chips, pretzels, or veggie sticks for dipping.
