What you Need:
>> ⅔ cup Dawn dishwashing liquid
>> ⅔ cup ammonia
>> ⅓ cup Arm and Hammer Washing Soda
>> About 2 cups of water
What do Do:
1) Add all of the ingredients to a large spray bottle. (You can also mix this up in a large glass jar with a lid and transfer into a smaller squeeze bottle.)
2) Shake well to mix the ingredients. (The ingredients will separate again after it sits for a while, so it will be important to shake well before each use.)
How to Use:
Spray the mixture directly onto your stain and let sit for about an hour. For really tough stains it may be best to let it sit overnight.
Before throwing it in the washing machine, you can run the stain under cold water and try to rub out the stain to make sure it has come out. If not, you can spray again and let sit a little longer. For most stains I just throw it right into the washer and just check before the item goes into the dryer to make sure the stain is gone.
This homemade stain pretreat spray is so easy to throw together. You can buy the ingredients in large quantities to save even more, and they will last you a long time. Just throw together a batch using the recipe above everytime you run out. So simple!
