Whether you have kids who constantly come home with grass stains, or a messy eater, or just someone who is accident prone and always seems to be spilling something, you probably deal with your share of stains coming into your laundry room. If you are like me, you have probably tried just about every brand of stain remover, and you have yet to find something that can get out every stain.
I decided to try to make my own! I have found that by mixing together just three ingredients you likely already have on hand in your home, I can get just as good of results, if not better, than from what you can buy in the stores.
Find out how easy it is to make your own Homemade Stain Remover! This Should DIY Recipe will save you money plus hopefully save some of your favorite articles of clothing as well!
To make your own stain remover, add 1 tablespoon of Dawn, 1 tablespoon of baking soda, and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide to a small bowl. The combination will create a paste when mixed together. Using a soft brisled toothbrush, gently rub the mixture into the stain.
Once you have fully treated the stain, you can wash and dry as you normally would. However, check the item before drying to make sure the stain is completely gone. Drying it will only set the stain further. If it is not completely gone, you can repeat the treatment process and wash again to hopefully remove the rest of the stain.
I love making my own household cleaners. I know exactly what they are made from and in many cases the products end up being much more natural than what you buy in stores. Plus it is usually quite a bit cheaper to make your own cleaning products of any kind.
