Does anyone else love Ibotta as much as I do??? It is probably my favorite money-saving rebate app because it’s so easy to use! I wanted to show you How To Shop Using The Ibotta App! All of these deals use only rebates on the Ibotta App, so you don’t need coupons, rewards, or ANYTHING! These deals are at the stores I shop at the most like Walmart, Dollar Tree, and CVS!
How To Shop Using The Ibotta App
If you have never used it before, Ibotta is a Cash Back Program where you earn Rebates for specific items you buy. You then upload the receipt to your account and you will get the credit! You can redeem it money in your Pay Pal account, Starbucks Gift Cards, iTunes Gift Cards and more. The first time you sign up, you get a FREE $10 Bonus, which is awesome for first-time users!

How to Use Ibotta without Scanning Receipts
Ibotta is great for saving money and pretty easy to use. You can still upload your receipts by scanning your physical receipt but it’s much easier to use the Ibotta app! First, you MUST link your Ibotta with Walmart or Target online account! Once you have done that then everything is automatically linked to your account! That means no more uploading receipts!!
Here’s how to sign up when shopping at Walmart:
- To use Ibotta for Walmart, go to your Ibotta app and open Walmart Grocery that is located in the Grocery category.
- Once you are there, click Link Walmart Account.
- You will want to follow the steps to link your Walmart account to Ibotta
- Now that you are linked, you can start browsing hundreds of offers available at Walmart Grocery and add them. (From Ibotta: Please make sure to add offers from the Walmart Grocery gallery. If you add offers from the Walmart gallery, you will not earn credit for qualifying items on your Walmart Grocery purchase.)
- Go shop on the Walmart Grocery app or Grocery.Walmart.com from your desktop
Once you have completed your order and you will get your cash within 24 hours!
Using Ibotta for In-Store Shopping
I can’t even tell you how excited I am to see Ibotta for Walmart Grocery Pickup and you can use Ibotta for delivery services like Walmart+. If you are going inside to shop then make sure to use these tips. If you are shopping at Target then make sure to link your Target Online Acount. They are going to ask for your email and password and then you will get an email confirming it. That can take up to 24 hours to complete.
Now you are ready to start earning cash back! Start browsing the current Target offers and load them to your account by tapping the plus sign next to each item. Make sure you add the items before you checkout. You will need to add your credit or debit car to Target Wallet to pay but the best option is to save 5% and link your Target RedCard! When you are ready to checkout, tap Show My Barcode and your purchase will automatically be submitted to Ibotta!
Avoid Maintenance Fees
This is important! Make sure you are redeeming at least one time every six months! If not, Ibotta will deduct a monthly free of $3.99:
Therefore, if you have redeemed at least one Offer during the prior 180 days, your account will not be assessed any account maintenance costs. If, however, you do not redeem at least one Offer during any 180 day period, Ibotta will deduct from your Ibotta account, on a monthly basis, the lesser of (i) $3.99 USD, or (ii) the amount then reflected in your Ibotta account (in either case, an “Account Maintenance Fee”).
So keep that in mind as you are shopping with Ibotta. They are going to send you reminders and let you know but keep an eye out for that.
