I mentioned last week that the $1 Old Navy Flip Flop Sale is coming up during the month of June! Here’s a super easy, fun and inexpensive way to make your own Ribbon Flip Flops!
Here’s what you need:
Ribbon (I think the smaller, thinner ribbons work the best)
Inexpensive pair of Solid Color Flip Flops
Scissors
Frey Check to keep the ribbon from shredding
Start with Ribbon Pieces about 6″ Long, the thinner the ribbon the easier it will be to tie. I like about 1/4″ or less.
Tie the Ribbon with the Flat side on the bottom and the knot on top. That will make them more comfortable to wear when you are finished.
Continue tying on ribbons until you are satisfied with the look.
Trim all ribbons to look the same length
Use Frey Check (Or Clear Nail Polish) on the end of your ribbons to keep them from shredding
Let them dry and they are ready to wear!
You can also make 4th of July Themed Flip Flops the Same Way for a Fun and Festive Theme! This is a fun and easy way for Kids to get involved in decorating their own Flip Flops. No Paint Required :) I like a no mess craft like that! The messiest part was the frey check at the end, so you might want to have an adult do that part.
