I know that many of you have used Infants’ Tylenol for your little ones so I wanted to pass on some information to you. There is an Infants’ Tylenol Class Action Settlement that you may want to know about concerning deceptive packaging as being uniquely formulated for babies. Johnson & Johnson has agreed to pay up to $6.3 million to resolve the claim.
Infants’ Tylenol Class Action Settlement
If you purchased Infants’ Tylenol between October 2, 2014, and January 6, 2020, then you qualify for potential award. The Class Action Lawsuit was filed against Johnson & Johnson, the manufacturer of Tylenol, because it was claimed they marketed the pain reliever to new parents. The product box includes text “infants” and a picture of a mother holding her child. This allegedly caused consumers to assume the medicine was specifically created for infants.
The problem with that is Infants’ Tylenol allegedly has liquid acetaminophen at the same concentration found in Children’s Tylenol. That means consumers were allegedly overpaying for medication on their assumption that the pain reliever was special or unique. Johnson & Johnson has denied any wrongdoing but has agreed to pay into a $6.315 million settlement.
