How to Sell Your Used Items on Amazon
Do you have used items around your home that are worth cash? If so, why not sell those items on Amazon? Amazon has a trusted and true program where you can sell your own used items for cash. Not sure where to begin? No worries! Take a look below for some helpful tips on how to sell your used items on Amazon.
Step one: Decide what you will sell.
You can sell any item you have bought on Amazon or even items you haven’t. The item must fit into the list of items deemed acceptable by Amazon.
You can check out the list of items that qualify to be sold on Amazon Here.
Step two: Register as a seller.
You can get registered to sell at Amazon.com in just minutes. Once your account is created, you can get started. First you will click on “Search for the Item You’d Like to Sell” button, then the “Sell on Amazon” button.
You will need to fill out a description of the item, any applicable measurements, and add photos. Remember you want to sell the item, so your description should be honest but appealing. Pictures should be clear and comprehensive.
Step 3: Wait for your item to sell.
You won’t be charged any fees just yet. Now, you wait for your item to sell. When it does, Amazon will send you an email with the buyer’s information and the instructions for you to ship your item.
Step 4: Pay and get paid.
You will now be charged fees for your sale (fees will vary and are available more specifically on the Amazon seller page) and be paid for your item. Amazon will pay you directly to your bank account using the number you provide on file.
Selling fees start at $0.99 per item + referral fees. You can see the complete listing of Amazon Fees Here.
Step 5: Ship your item.
Promptly ship your item (the buyer will pay this cost) so you can make your customer happy and earn the trust of other buyers!
Another great option is to use Fulfillment by Amazon, this allows your item to ship via Prime. You send your items into the warehouse before you sell them and that allows Amazon to ship them immediately once they sell.
Selling your used items on Amazon really can be easy and profitable. Give these tips a try and start your own seller’s account on Amazon. You will be amazed at how much money you can make on the items you no longer use or need.
