CANDY, CANDY, CANDY, it’s what kids are used to getting for Halloween, and it seems like they don’t want it any other way. Check out this hilarious video from Crest of kids trying some healthy Halloween candy alternatives! I think it’s safe to say they actually want real Halloween candy!
Bring on the Halloween Candy, it’s what Kids really want! Go
So if we aren’t going to spoil Halloween by giving kids the candy they really want, then we also need to be prepared for all the sweets! Halloween is a holiday celebrated by many with candy, and lots of it! Thankfully Crest has you covered with several varieties of toothpaste! If you give your kids a Halloween basket you can just add it in with the candy! My kids actually love new toothpaste, mouthwash and toothbrushes!

After Halloween is over, teeth are brushed and kids are tucked in bed. Do you eat your kid’s Halloween Candy? Be honest here! If you do, you’re not alone! Based on a Halloween survey from Crest, 86% of parents eat candy that was given to their child while trick-or-treating!

Every year I say that I’m going to ask the kids to swap me their candy for a reward, but I have never done it. I’m really thinking about doing it this year. Because, I actually end up eating most of the candy and then feel terrible that I did! Ha, you think it would be the kids, but nope, it’s Mom!

Another Fun Fact from the Crest Halloween survey, 23.59% of dads said they would offer to buy back their kids’s candy as a way to limit their children’s candy consumption. Only 8.95% used this tactic. Dads are also more likely to trade candy for toys or other small gifts. 38.53% of dads use this tactic whereas only 14.48% of moms would.
Well, that stat sums it up, like I said, I am the worst one at sneaking the candy. Knowing kids love the candy, I think it would be awesome to let the kids each pick out a certain number of their favorite candy items and then trade them the remainder for some money! That makes everyone happy!
It can be a challenge to resist all the sweet treats this time of year. So with Crest’s help, our kids (and us too, remember we steal their candy!) can still enjoy some real Halloween Candy!
