Summer camp has always been a big part of our plans but this year is different. So I am really excited about Camp by Walmart that is starting soon! It’s part of the family-friendly events that have been announced that includes Camp and Walmart Drive-In! Yes, Walmart will host Drive-In movies in their parking lots!

I love summer, especially late nights, vacations, and summer camp! Like many of you, our summer looks drastically different than what we planned and now we are looking for ways to make the most of it. We are constantly searching for fun ways to make memories and this one has my attention! Camp by Walmart is a free summer camp that you can host in your own backyard! This year’s Camp will be teaming up with Drew Barrymore, Neil Patrick Harris, LeBron James, Idina Menzel and Todd Oldham to bring you a fun family experience! The cast will serve as Camp Counselors and lead kids through various arts and crafts, fitness routines, and other fun activities!
Camp by Walmart will begin July 8 and families will have access to 50 activities that campers can view for free using the Walmart app. There will be an additional 200 new activities throughout the summer to keep your family entertained!
Some activities include:
- “The Great Family Challenge,” which features various family-bonding activities, including actress Drew Barrymore taking campers through a make-up tutorial and basketball star LeBron James leading participants through mental and physical activities with help from his I PROMISE School educators
- A morning kick-off with Head Camp Counselor, actor Neil Patrick Harris, who sends families through one of 14 camp challenges, from “Neil’s Charades” to musical Mad Libs
- “Skills Camp” is a talent show which features experts teaching new skills, like singer and actress Idina Menzel, who showcases her singing skills to campers
- And, designer Todd Oldham reimagines “Smarts and Crafts,” which teaches campers about creativity through the lens of arts, crafts and fashion
