Snacks in the car? This can be a tough one as you want your kids to be occupied and fed on a long trip (or even a short one), but the mess that can get left behind can be a little undesirable. Here is one idea for a DIY Snack Container to keep most of the snacks in check and in your kids hands or mouths rather than all over the floor. And you get to reuse an item you likely already have in your house.
Here is how you can make your own:
–Take off the wrapper from an empty Coffee-Mate Creamer bottle. Either size bottle will work as the spout on both is the same size.
–Clean it out and let it dry.
–Fill with Goldfish Crackers, Oyster Crackers or another favorite treat, but must be small enough to fit through the spout.
–That’s it!
You or your child can shake out just a few at a time and hopefully you won’t see as many end up on the floor. Plus you can close the lid so they won’t fall out, unlike the Goldfish bags that can open and spill or might even get stepped on. Great alternative for taking snacks in the car and it cost you nothing!
So cute!
