Easy Easter Egg String Art Craft
With this craft, you might handle tracing the design and doing the nail work, and then letting your child work on the yarn. If your child is older they might be able to master it all by themselves. Either way, it is a fun craft that offers a stunning end result.
What Is Needed For String Art
All the supplies are listed below for what you need. The main thing is yarn, wood, transfer paper, hammer, nails, and such. You might even find an old piece of wood in your garage you can cut down. I love a clean piece of wood but depending on what you plan on making a distressed piece of wood could look really nice.
What Kind of Nails Do You Use For String Art
I generally reach for a decorative nail for string art. You just want a small nail so that you can nail them close together to create a border of the design.
How Far Apart Do You Put Nails For String Art
Aim for around 1/2 ” – 3/4″ distance between each nail when putting nails in for string art. Any farther and it will be hard to make out the design you are working with.
