What Do I Need To Make Glow In The Dark Eggs
- Large Plastic Easter Eggs
- Glow Sticks Bracelets
Egg Hack
I like using the large Easter eggs instead of the normal egg-sized ones, because the two halves of each egg stay together without taping them when the glow in the dark bracelet is inside and uncoiled.
If you do choose to use the smaller eggs, the force of the bracelet unfolding against the inside of the small egg might require clear tape around the outside.
Frugal Tip
This is the most inexpensive way to have a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. I have friends who have used battery operated tea light candles inside eggs, but since the glow bracelets are sold in packages of eight for a dollar, they are a much more economical option!
How to Do A Glow In The Dark Easter Egg Hunt
Crack the glow bracelets 30 minutes to an hour before you have scheduled the egg hunt. So the eggs glow at their brightest while everyone is hunting. Twist each bracelet around your fingers a few times to make a couple of loops and insert them into each egg.
You’ll have to quickly close both ends of the egg to ensure the bracelet stays in place inside the egg. When you’ve stuffed all eggs with a glow bracelet, you may hide them inside or outside!
Whether you choose an indoor or outdoor egg hunt might depend on your yard and the weather outside at night time.
