With the cooler temperatures settling in, my skin is already starting to take a hit. It’s amazing how quickly the dry skin appears. This homemade coconut oil body butter will make your skin happy again!
This is one of my favorite body lotion scents – vanilla cinnamon. You only need five simple ingredients to make this moisturizing body butter. And be careful, because once you make it it will not only look but also smell like buttercream frosting! It truly is the best homemade body butter!
This body butter will provide you with all day moisture and create a protective barrier and keep your skin glowing.
In a glass measuring cup, melt cocoa butter and coconut oil by microwaving it on 70% power for 60 seconds. Stir to melt completely. Stir in almond oil, essential oil and vanilla.
Place the melted mixture into the refrigerator until it’s solid, once it’s solid you can use a hand mixer to whip the mixture until it’s light and fluffy. The key is waiting until it’s completely solid before whipping! Once finished this can be stored in an airtight mason jar or container. You can also use any essential oils you want, you don’t have to stick with the cinnamon, that’s completely up to you, I also love Lavendar and Frankincense for skin, or Add Lime for a Coconut Lime Scent that’s amazing!!!
Homemade Coconut Oil Body Butter Recipe

Ingredients –
- 1 cup cocoa butter
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup almond oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon essential oils
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions –
- In a glass measuring cup, melt cocoa butter and coconut oil by microwaving it on 70% power for 60 seconds. Stir to melt completely. Stir in almond oil, essential oil and vanilla.
- Refrigerate until solid.
- Use a mixer to whip the mixture until it’s light and fluffy.
- Store in an airtight mason jar.
