One very popular cleaning item these days is the Lysol Disinfecting Wipes. The convinience of a wipe with the disinfecting cleaning power to keep your home clean and safe for your family.
The convinience of these wipes can be costly. And while we may find some great deals from time to time, they don’t come around often enough for me. I like to know that I can make a batch of my own wipes whenever I need them. So I started to make my own!
Find out how to make your own Homemade Lysol Cleaning Wipes with this super easy recipe!
What You Need:
Empty Container (see below for ideas)
Cloth pieces
1 cup water
2 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 Tablespoon Dish Soap (use natural dish soap for a 100% natural cleaning product)
8-10 drops essential oil (optional)
What You Do:
Just mix together the ingredients in a bowl or measuring cup. Add your cloth pieces to your empty conatiner and pour into it your mixture, totally soaking the pieces of cloth.
The vinegar in this mixture makes for a natural disinfectant and the dish soap provides a little extra cleaning power. The essential oil to help cover up the scent of the vinegar.
There are a few ways you can reuse old containers to store your diy cleaning wipes. I used an old Wet Ones container and covered up the original label with some leftover contact paper I had. But you can use an old Lysol Wipes container or even a baby wipes container works great!
I had some old cloth diapers that I cut up into my cloth pieces. But you can use whatever you have on hand like some old dish towels or even cotton t-shirts. Some people prefer to even use paper towels. You would need to find a container big enough to store at least a roll cut in half for this option. But obviously using old pieces of cloth you can wash and reuse is the most frugal option.
That is all you need to make your own Homemade Lysol Cleaning Wipes!

How do you get your cloth pieces to keep pulling from your container?
You probably won’t be able to do that, I just grab them out.
Instead of cloth can i use papertowels?
Yes you can
Great recipe! I have tried to make wipes at home but without essential oil. I am going to try with lavender essential oil next time. I love this scent. It is amazing how good cleaners are these wipes. I am so glad that I have found your post! Greetings!
