I love to clean my jewelry on a regular basis, but store bought Jewelry Cleaners can be rather expensive so I am in love with this quick and simple recipe for cleaning jewelry that uses items you probably already have at home.
How to Make Your Own Jewelry Cleaner
Step 1 – Line a Cookie Sheet or Cake Pan with Foil (Shiny Side Up)
Step 2 – Heat 2 Cups of Hot Water
Step 3 – Add 1 Tbsp. Baking Soda & 1 Tbsp. Salt
Step 4 – Pour Hot Water Mixture over jewelry
Step 5 – Soak for 10 Min, then remove from water and wipe with soft dry cloth
This is really simple and it only takes about 1 minute to heat the hot water and get started. You can also use the same method with a Denture Cleaning Tablet instead of the baking soda and salt. I don’t have anyone who wears dentures in my family so I don’t tend to buy those unless they are super cheap so I am really happy with this basic recipe with ingredients I always have on hand.
