Some many people these days are looking for a greener and safer way to clean. Your oven is no exception. The chemicals you spray in there with a normal oven cleaner can be enough to knock you out.
Here are some great natural alternatives to cleaning your oven.
Safe Over Cleaners
Homemade Oven Cleaner:
Mix together 1 tablespoon of dish soap, 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide in a bucket or bowl.
Use a sponge and apply to the inside of the oven.
Let the mixture sit for about an hour then just wipe clean with damp rag or sponge.
Apply the oven cleaning solution with a sponge to the inside of the oven.
Rinse well.
Baking Soda Oven Cleaner:
Mix about a cup of baking soda with hot water until it starts to form a paste.
Apply to the inside of your oven and let sit for at least an hour.
Then just wipe clean with damp rag or sponge.
You can reapply for a longer amount of time if you have some areas needing some extra help.
Salt and Baking Soda:
For an even tougher mess, you can add a cup of salt to your cup of baking soda.
Still adding enough hot water to make a paste.
Apply the mixture to the inside of the oven and close the oven door.
Turn the oven to 500-degrees and let sit for 1 hour.
Then turn the oven off and allow to cool.
Wipe clean with damp rag or sponge.
