My son turned 5 last week and one of the things he wanted to do was take Angry Bird Cupcakes to school. I found these super cute Angry Bird Cupcakes for just $13.88 at Sams for 30 cupcakes, our school has a rule that things have to be store bought not homemade so I wanted to find a simple way to make these a little cuter than just a box of cupcakes. Since we needed to be able to hand out the cupcakes quickly and easily this was the perfect solution!
I already had a set of Chinet Drink Cups (9 oz.) sitting on my counter so I grabbed the cups, put a cupcake in each, then placed the cup in a clear celophane bag. It turned out super cute and they were easy to transport and fun to eat all at the same time!
I was thinking you could use this method for packaging a cupcake for Valentines Day, Christmas, 4th of July and just about any occasion you can think of. The best part is that the cupcakes fit perfectly and they didn’t tump over, also the frosting doesn’t get touched since most of it is below the cup line.

It works great for a bake sale as well. Our girl scout troop had a bake sale a few months ago and we made individual baked goodies. I had a stack of these cups left over from a house warming party so I put my yummy lemon cupcakes in a cup put the cup down in a clear cellophane bakery bag, tied it up with ribbon and used scrap book paper that I cut with pinking shears for a tag. Supercute and they all sold.
How do you get them out to eat them w/o getting frosting all over? I think i would pkg w/o the cake liner and slip a fork or spoon in so they could eat it right out of the cup.
Our school has the same rule but it has to be sealed in the pkg. I dont like to have to buy processed preservative laden treats when i love to bake from scratch treats with real ingredients.
Thanks for the idea!
Love this idea, I might put in a plastic spoon too.
