These are so pretty to have outside in the summer! Keep reading to find out How to make these fun Summer Floating Citronella Candles!
I love to sit outside on a warm summer evening as the sun is going down. The kids are running around before bedtime and it’s quite relaxing. A few things can make it even more enjoyable – a nice frangrance, a little candlelight and NO BUGS! These Summer Floating Citronella Candles are perfect for helping you enjoy and gorgeous summer evenings.
The citrus and other items you put in the candle let off a nice fragrance, and if you add Citronella Essential Oil to the jar, it can even help keep the bugs away. You can really use any scents you want, like mint, lemon, lime, rosemary or whatever you have around the house.Cut them up into pieces that will fit in your jar. Then just add some water with citronella essential oil to your jar and top off with a floating candle. Gorgeous!
Another great idea is to find these Floating Candles Wicks at Amazon or Hobby Lobby and fill a Mason Jar with Water. You fill the top of the jar with Olive Oil and a few drops of Citronella, insert the wick and you have adorable Mason Jar Citronella Candles! These literally take less than 5 minutes to make and they are So perfect for outdoor barbecues this summer!
These are so fun and easy to make. Make a few and have them as table decorations at your next outdoor event. You can also use them indoors, you just wouldn’t need the citronella to keep the bugs away inside.
Make a big jar and take as a fun hostess gift to the next summer party you are invited too. The hostess will LOVE it, and if the party is outdoors, will likely put it to use right away!
