These Monster Brownie Bites are such a quick and easy dessert for Halloween! I love making them because they look really festive and fun for parties, but they take hardly any time at all to create. My kids love to help bake them and have a blast decorating them with fake edible eyeballs!
How to Make Monster Brownie Bites
This Monster Brownie Bites recipe is an easy one! If you want to make it even easier, feel free to use boxed brownie mix, instead!
Ingredients for Monster Brownie Bites
- Salted Butter
- Unsweetened Cocoa
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla Extract
- Flour
- Frosting (Homemade or Premade)
- Edible Eyeballs
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a mini muffin pan very sell and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and cocoa and stir with a whisk until fully incorporated. Add eggs – one at a time – and vanilla, stirring in between each addition until well combined. Next, stir in flour until the flour is fully combined. Be careful to not overmix!
Fill muffin tin with the brownie batter and bake for 9-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through. Be careful to not overbake!
Cool completely then frost with green frosting and add monster eyes.
Adding the monster eyes is my children’s favorite part of helping me bake this Halloween dessert!! They love making the brownie bites look as spooky and crazy as possible! HA!
Can I make this recipe into regular brownies instead of bites?
Yes, you sure can! Use a 9×9 pan and bake longer until the brownies are set in the middle. Then, you could frost the entire top of the brownies and add the monster eyes on top of each brownie. I really like using my brownie bites pan, though, especially when making desserts like this for kids! The brownie bites fall apart less than regular gooey brownies.
