How to Make Mummy Cookies
Full directions are in the printable card below. This is a quick walk through on how to make the Milano cookie mummies.
Start by working on melting your candy melts. I just place in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave stirring between each 20 seconds of a heat cycle.
Lay out parchment paper on the counter, and place cookies in a single layer.
Dip each of the cookies in the melted chocolate, and then let the extra drip off. Add on the candy eyes at the top of the cookie on the wet chocolate.
Once the chocolate is hardened on the cookies, drizzle on the extra chocolate to make the mummy look.
Get chocolate on a spoon or pour in a piping bag and drizzle back and forth in rows on the cookies.
Expert Tip: For a smoother chocolate add in the coconut oil!

What Can I Use Instead of Candy Eyes
You can buy these silver round sprinkles to use in replace of the candy eyes if you would like. Or use frosting and pipe on some eyes if you would like.
How to Store Cookies
Room Temperature – You can make these cookies a day or two in advance if you would like. Store the cookies in an airtight container on the counter. If the home is hot, you can store your cookies in the fridge to ensure the chocolate doesn’t melt.
Freezing Cookies – If you don’t eat all the cookies right away, they do freeze really well. Place in a proper container and store for 3-4 months. Then thaw on the counter and enjoy. They even taste yummy straight from the freezer, if you want to try them!
