With my kids being home so much more now I knew I needed to find some go-to things for them to keep themselves entertained while I worked. So I thought I would share my list of At-Home Activities for Kids with you. Most of these are easy and require little to no supervision depending on age. Also, check out our list of 15 Educational TV Shows for kids.
At Home Activities for Kids
Puzzles
No matter your child’s age there is a puzzle that will keep them busy and challenge their minds. If they are younger one with the Alphabet or their favorite character is a great option.
Magnets
My kids love playing with any kind of Magnets but really enjoy their Magnatiles! You could let them do these anywhere in the house. If they are little they might enjoy doing them on your fridge. My kids are older and like going outside and using them on the garage door.
Washi Tape
Give them some Washi Tape (or even scotch tape) and let them create! My daughter would make all kinds of things while my boys would make race tracks for their cars.
Indoor Bowling
Indoor Bowling Tournament anyone?? Great for siblings to do together. Have them keep score and tally up the points as a little match challenge.
Building Toys
Classic toys like Lincoln Logs are a great activity for those fine motor skills. Marble Runs are a great option for older kids.
GoNoodle
If you haven’t introduced your kids to GoNoodle yet you need to! It is a great way to get some exercise and get the wiggles out!
Kinetic Sand
Now this can be messy if your kids are younger but it’s so fun! I put our kinetic sand on a large baking pan or dish so it’s not on our table.
Bathtub Finger Paint
Bathtub Finger Paint is always fun! You don’t even have to put water in the tub if you don’t want!
Audio Books
Right now you can get free Streaming Audio Books from Audible!
Scavenger Hunt
I just did an outdoor scavenger hunt with my kids. But now I am thinking we should do one for indoor that they could do with each other!
Those are just a few ideas to keep the kids busy inside the house. If you have any more feel free to share them with us!
