I’m always looking for Game Day Appetizers that the whole family will like, and these Pizza Pasta Skewers are perfect for kids and adults alike! I love that they can be customized with our favorite toppings. My kids had a blast making their own! They only require a few ingredients, so they’re an easy football or basketball game day snack recipe, too!
How to Make Pizza Pasta Skewers
Since this only requires a few easy ingredients, this recipe is SO easy to make!
Ingredients for Pasta Pizza Skewers
- Rigatoni or penne pasta – cooked al dente according to the package directions
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pizza toppings – I used black olives, mini pepperoni, and green peppers, but use whatever your family likes best!
- Italian seasoning
- Parmesan cheese – Grated or Shredded
Instructions for Pizza Pasta Kebabs
Do you call them kebabs or skewers?? I think in this case, skewers sounds best. Ha! First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. I like the unbleached parchment paper, like this. Place the pasta on the skewers, lining up the edges as shown and brush the top side with pizza sauce.
Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese and add your favorite pizza toppings.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. After removing from oven, sprinkle on Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese. Serve immediately with additional pizza sauce for dipping.
And that’s literally all! I feel like this would be such a fun activity for children, too. My kids love it! You could pre-place the pasta on the skewers for the younger ones, if needed. Let me know if you try it!
