I thought this would be a great time to go over how SavingStar Works. If you’re new to SavingStar you can Sign Up Here!
Step 1 – Sign up for SavingStar, it’s completely Free and so quick and easy to join! I just connected my Facebook Account and I was ready to go!
Step 2: Once you sign up you can connect your store loyalty cards for grocery stores like Kroger, Safeway or CVS! If you don’t have any of those stores and you can now upload your receipt using the SavingStar App. Download the app here.
Step 3: Using either the App or the Website Here. Click the “I Want This!” Button on any Coupons or Offers you want to redeem. If you are using a store card that you connected in Step 2 then the savings will be added to your account automatically, if you are shopping at a store like Target or Walmart then you’ll need to click the button and upload your receipt in the app after purchasing.
Step 4: Your Savings are added to your account! This is where SavingStar is a little different from actual “Coupons” They are more like rebates where you make a purchase and the savings amount is added into your SavingStar Account. When you get $5 you can cash out for Paypal, Direct Deposit or Amazon Gift Cards!!!
A Few Questions and Answers: Here are a few common questions about SavingStar –
Can I use SavingStar with Coupons? The answer technically is No, SavingStar says these are Manufacturer Coupons so you can’t stack them, however it’s hard to stop this process from happening. Because when you scan your receipt the savings are all applied automatically based on what you have added to your account and what you purchased so you may see double savings.
Can I buy Items on Multiple Receipts? Most of the time an offer for $5 back on a $15 purchase allows for Multiple Receipts. This is indicated in the details of the offer. You should be able to tell by looking on the website if the offer allows for multiple shopping trips, but in general the answer is yes.
Can I use an offer more than once? No, SavingStar Offers can only be applied to your account once, so if you buy 2 items and you have an offer for $1 off 1 then you will only receive $1 regardless of how many items you purchased.
I’m so excited that this is available at more stores now! I know a lot of you have been unable to grab these offers in the past because you didn’t have a participating store. Now that you can buy items at Walmart, Target, Walgreens and more it’s so much easier to take advantage of these offers!
Do you know if you can still submit a receipt via email if you don’t own a Smartphone (so no app)?
