Valentine’s Day Donut Bouquet
My donut bouquet is so tasty, and what is nice is it doesn’t take much to make. Grab a bag of bite-size donuts, melting chocolate and a few other supplies. I will walk you through how to make this bouquet.
What Donuts Work Best For A Donut Bouquet
You can use any of your favorite donuts. I used the chocolate Little Debbie mini donuts for this. You are welcome to buy or use homemade donuts. Just make sure if you use homemade donuts they are sturdy enough to not fall apart when they get skewered on the sticks to make the bouquet.
What Chocolate To Use For Melting On Donuts
I used candy melts, they were pink and really helped elevate the color to make it have a Valentine’s Day feel. Now, you could use a mix of red, pink, white, or even purple. Feel free to improvise and get creative.
Candy melts harden up nicely so I recommend that. If you use chocolate chips, make sure to add a teaspoon of shortening in to help them set up once you drizzle the chocolate onto the donuts.
How Do Donuts Get Secured For Bouquet
I used wooden skewers to stick into the styrofoam base, and then on the bottom side of the donuts! It is hidden with all the tissue paper and such. So all you see is the bright colors and tasty donuts.
Here is a view where you can see. It is easy, and affordable to make the bouquet quick.
