The brownie bite recipe is delicious, however, you could also purchase premade brownie bites and dress them up if you prefer! The red, white and blue fruit and whipped cream is stunning regardless of whether the brownies are homemade or not!
How to Make 4th of July Brownie Bites
This recipe is delicious and doesn’t require any complicated ingredients, either!
Ingredients for 4th of July Brownie Bites
For the Brownie Bites
- Butter, melted
- Granulated sugar
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Salt
- Vanilla
- Espresso powder, optional
- Eggs
- All-purpose flour
For the Topping
- Whipped cream
- Granulated sugar
- Strawberries, quartered
- Blueberries
Instructions for 4th of July Brownie Bites
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a mini-muffin tin. Or you could also spray the pan with baking spray.
Place the butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Combine with a whisk until mixed well. Add the vanilla extract and espresso powder. (The espresso powder is optional.) Stir with a whisk to combine.
Add eggs, one at a time, stirring thoroughly after each addition so that the eggs are well each well combined. Continue stirring until batter begins to look thick.
Sprinkle the flour over the top. Stir with a spatula just until combined. Then, set a timer and stir for about one minute. Keep stirring (folding in the batter) with the spatula for one minute.
With a small cookie scoop fill each mini muffin tin about 3/4 of the way full. Bake the brownie bites just until set, about 12-13 minutes. Remove from oven, place the pan on a wire rack, and let cool in pan for 15 minutes. With a fork, carefully loosen the brownie bites and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. While they are cooling, make the whipped cream.
Place cream and sugar in a chilled bowl, and ,using a hand held electric mixer, beat on high until stiff peaks form. Transfer the whipped cream to a pastry bag with an open star tip. Pipe whipped cream onto brownie tops and add strawberries and blueberries for a pop of patriotic color!
