Easter Egg Cookie Cake
Cookie cakes are one of my favorite desserts. There is something about frosting on top of a chocolate chip cookie! It is just heavenly. I reached for some fun bright spring colors and make my cookie into an egg shape.

What Do You Need For Making An Cookie Cake

How To Make An Easter Egg Cookie Cake
Start by shaping your cookie dough in the shape of an egg. You will want to use a lined parchment paper or aluminum foil so that you can easily remove it.
Then work on creating an Easter egg design on top of your cooled cookie. You can do any design you would like. I wanted to do a fun simple design.
Now, you could let your kids help you design your cookie cake, or decorate it for your kids.
Can I Use Homemade Cookie Dough Instead Of Pre-Bought Dough
Of course! If you prefer a homemade dough go right ahead. I would recommend chilling the dough for at least an hour to ensure it holds the shape of the egg as it bakes.
If you go and cook it without refrigerating first you might find it spreads out a bit too thin and will make an off-shape or be uneven in how it cooks.
How To Store A Cookie Cake
You will want to store the cookie covered on the counter at room temperature. If you don’t have the cookie covered you will find it dries out fast.
What I found works well is placing on a cookie sheet and then using aluminum foil to cover it up.
