Black Friday Energy Bites
So what are these energy bites you ask? Hearty oats, chocolate, coffee, and chocolate-covered espresso beans to keep you energized! A nice boost of caffeine with each bite.
Best of all these are no-bake energy bites that take minutes to make! Pack in your bag, and then devour on the go.
What Makes These Bites An Energy Bite
These energy bites get the word energy from the instant coffee and the espresso bean. Both will give you that caffeine boosts you over the tired feeling. This is great so you don’t have to carry a cup of coffee around as you shop till you drop!
Do Energy Bites Have to Be Refrigerated
These bites are best when they are refrigerated. As the peanut butter is left out they will soften up. But, with that said you can easily pack a few up for a snack as you Black Friday shop. They might be slightly soft if you don’t pack with an ice pack, but they will still taste fantastic.
How Long Will These Espresso Energy Balls Last
You can store them for up to 5-7 days. Place in an airtight container and store them in the fridge. Or grab snack-size sealable bags and place a few in each bag for an easy grab and go snack as you head out the door!

Can You Freeze Energy Bites
I have not tried freezing these energy bites but I don’t see why it would hurt them. Lay them on parchment paper and place them on a baking sheet and flash freeze them for 15-20 minutes in the freezer. Then place in a sealable bag or airtight container and store in the freezer for up to three months.
If you stack the balls, make sure to lay parchment in between the layers to prevent them from sticking. The flash freezing should prevent them from sticking, but the parchment paper is added protection.
Variations To Energy Bites
- Oats | Reach for old fashioned oats for a chewy texture. This will also add more fiber and nutrients to your energy bites.
- Chips | Buy white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and use them in replace of chocolate chips. It will add a whole new flavor to the energy bites.
- Honey | If you are not a fan of honey you can use maple syrup or even agave in replacing if you would like. You might have to adjust the dry ingredients to make it the right consistency.
