This Grilled Basil Garlic Chicken Tenderloins recipe has excellent flavor and is so quick to whip up to grill in the summer months! This is the first time I have tried combining the herb basil with grilled chicken and let me tell you, if you haven’t tried it, you need to, as well! It’s important to use fresh basil for this recipe, as dried basil just does not have the same depth of flavor! How to Make Grilled Basil Garlic Chicken Tenderloins
This recipe is a new favorite for summer, and the ingredients are so easy!
Ingredients for Grilled Basil Garlic Chicken
- Fresh Chicken Tenderloins
- Minced garlic
- Salt
- Fresh basil, chopped
- Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions for Grilled Basil Garlic Chicken Tenderloins
In a small mixing bowl, combine garlic, olive oil, 1 teaspoon of the salt, basil. Mix well and pour into gallon-sized plastic bag. Add chicken tenderloins and marinate for 1-4 hours.
Preheat grill to medium and let it heat up for about 12 minutes. (You know how long your grill takes to heat up to temperature properly, of course! My grill takes anywhere form 10-15 minutes, depending on the season and how chilly it is outdoors.)
Grill chicken tenderloins at medium heat for 4 minutes. Flip them over, and grill for 5 more minutes. (Your grilling time may vary depending on how hot your grill is.)
Remove from grill and place on a platter covered loosely with foil. Let rest for five minutes and serve with veggies and roasted new potatoes, corn on the cob, or any other summer side you like! Store covered in fridge for up to four days.

- 1 1.5-2 lb package Trimmed and Ready Fresh Chicken Tenderloins
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup fresh basil, chopped
