Ingredients for Peanut Butter Blossom Bars
- Flour
- Baking Soda
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Butter, softened
- Brown Sugar
- Peanut butter – You may use crunchy or creamy peanut butter, but for cookie bars, I prefer creamy.
- Egg
- White Sugar
- Vanilla
- Hershey’s Kisses
Instructions for Peanut Butter Blossom Bars
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8×8 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and/or line with parchment paper. Next, in a medium mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and peanut butter with a hand mixer on high until creamy. Add the vanilla and the egg and beat on medium until combined.
Then, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix the dough on low until smooth. Press the dough into your prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges begin to turn golden brown.
Right after removing the pan from the oven, press the Hershey Kisses into the top of the cookie bars, making sure to space them evenly apart. When the peanut butter bars have cooled completely, cut into bars evenly in between the Hershey kisses and serve.
