This Easy Pumpkin Dump Cake Recipe made with a Yellow Cake Mix or Spice Cake Mix and Pumpkin Pie Filling is perfect for Fall Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Every year when Fall rolls around I get a craving for this Easy Pumpkin Dump Cake Recipe, it’s so simple to make and everyone who’s tried it loves it!
You start with a Basic Yellow Cake Mix, you can also use a Spice Cake Mix if you would like! Then add in a Can of Pumpkin and Evaporated Milk, this really creates the creamy base of the cake that you won’t be able to get enough of.

I like to start by mixing together all of my wet ingredients and pouring them into a 9×13 Cake Pan or baking dish. Then top with your Cake Mix and spread it evenly. You really want to avoid getting this too clumped up because you really want the Cake Mix to absorb some of that liquid so that you get a cake texture with a crumb mixture on top!
There are so many ways to serve this Pumpkin Dump Cake Recipe, you can top with Ice Cream and a Caramel Topping or serve it with Whipped Cream and Cinnamon! You really can’t go wrong!
Pumpkin Dump Cake Recipe
Here’s the Recipe for the Pumpkin Dump Cake:
1 Box of Yellow Cake Mix
1 16 oz. can of Pumpkin
1 12 oz. can of Evaporated Milk
1 ½ Cups Sugar
3 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Salt
1 Cup Chopped Pecans
2 Sticks Butter (melted)
Whipped Cream for Topping
Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
In a large bowl Combine Pumpkin & Sugar together
Add in Eggs, Evaporated Milk, Pumpkin Pie Spice, Cinnamon, and Salt.
Beat with a Hand Mixer until creamy
Pour Pumpkin Mixture into a Greased 9×13 Baking Pan
Top with Yellow Cake Mix and Spread evenly over cake mix
Sprinkle with Pecan Pieces
Drizzle with Melted Butter as evenly as possible
Bake at 350 Degrees for 50-55 Minutes until center is set.
Serve topped with Whipped Cream & Sprinkled with Cinnamon
