Patriotic Tie Dye Shoes
This is a fun way for your kids to do to create fun one-of-a-kind shoes that they can wear. It is a fun thing the whole family can join in on and you all can rock new shoes!
Will Permanent Markers Bleed From Canvas Shoes
You will want your shoes to have time to fully dry. They shouldn’t get to where they bleed too bad when you color on your shoes. But if you press too hard with the permanent marker then yes, it could soak through the shoes and run the risk of getting on your feet when you wear them.
Can I Color My Shoes With Permanent Markers
Of course! Now, make sure if you are a child you get your parent’s permission. We just grabbed cheaper shoes for this, since you are in a sense giving them a total makeover. A lot of times you will find white shoes are best for this.
How to Keep The Soles White On Shoes When Coloring Them
Use painters tape to make a line of tape around your soles if you want. This will ensure if you have a slip up you will keep those white soles looking brand new.
The painter’s tape will go on easily and pull off without tearing up your shoes. You could use another tape as well if you don’t have painters tape on hand.
How to Get That Tie Dye Look
You will use rubbing alcohol to apply over the market to help it bleed out a bit and really amplify the look of tie dye. You can use a paintbrush to dip and rub over your design, or a squirt bottle if you want to cover a larger area.
Either method will work great at transforming the look of your shoes.
