I highly recommend these for summer cookouts, play dates, family gatherings, and for a treat to break up your work week.
Easy Strawberry Brownies Recipe
The base of the strawberry brownies is a strawberry cake mix. This makes for a super quick base, that will offer you that sweet strawberry flavor in each bite. If you have little kids they will enjoy helping you mix up your brownie base.
Cream Cheese Frosting For Strawberry Brownies
I made a homemade cream cheese frosting that is going to make these brownies go from tasty to out of this world. Then you can top with a slice of fresh strawberry for added flavor and a pretty look!
Make sure to use room temperature cream cheese! This will help you to get that extra creamy texture you want. If you don’t allow it to soften it will be clumpy and hard to mix.
Do Strawberry Brownies Need Refrigerated
Yes, because of the cream cheese frosting your brownies will need to be refrigerated. You can allow them to come to room temperature before serving if you prefer the flavors warmed.

Can You Freeze Strawberry Brownies
I have not tried freezing these brownies, but if you do just leave the fresh strawberries off the top. They will become mushy if frozen. I think you should have no problem freezing the frosted brownies. Just make sure you freeze in a proper container.
When ready to eat just thaw at room temperature for a few hours or toss in the fridge to allow them to thaw slower. Then top with fresh strawberries and serve.
How to Make Strawberry Brownies
Start by prepping your strawberry batter. Just add in your cake mix, eggs, oil and mix until smooth. Once ready pour into a greased pan. Make sure not to overbake.
Once brownies are cool, mix up your cream cheese frosting ingredients and spread over the top of your brownies. Then top with fresh strawberries, slice and serve!

Moist, refreshing, and the perfect dessert to serve up this fun twist on a brownie.
I would like to double the brownie recipe. Have you ever done that? I’m wondering how much longer they would take if I did it that way
This recipe is amazing! I was a little skeptical at first because the brownie batter was almost like a play dough type consistency, but it worked out really well. The cream cheese frosting is SO creamy, and I added a little vanilla wafer crumble to make it like a strawberry cheesecake brownie. So easy and delicious and totally worth it! 5 stars!
When I mixed this up the batter was super thick. Is it supposed to be?
