I love all things Valentine’s Day and these Cherry Heart Cut out Cupcakes are no exception! Using a mini cookie cutter makes this SUCH an easy project! I’m sharing all the tips and tricks below on the easiest way to make these.
How to Make Cherry Heart Cut Out Cupcakes
You only need a few ingredients to make these valentine cupcakes!
Ingredients for Cherry Heart Cut Out Cupcakes
- Devil’s Food Cake Mix – Plus whatever ingredients the brand calls for: water, vegetable oil, eggs, etc.
- Powdered Sugar
- Cherry Pie Filling
Instructions for Cherry Heart Cupcakes
Make or buy your favorite brand of Devil’s Food Cupcakes. Bake them according to the manufacturer’s directions and let them cool completely.
Using a mini heart-shaped cookie cutter roughly an inch to two inches in diameter, press it into the center of the cupcake. Be sure to not press it all the way through the entire cupcake– about an inch and a half down is quite enough!
Next, dust the cupcake with powdered sugar. You’ll want to still see the chocolate on top, so take care to not add too much!
Lastly, fill with cherry pie filling and that’s it!
