I LOVE baking during the holidays and trying new recipes and ideas with my friends and family. It’s the time of year when having a few extra goodies around the house seems to set the mood of the season!
Easy Puppy Chow
Plus, this is the time of year when we get together with our friends and family a lot. This year, one of my favorite recipes is this Christmas Muddy Buddies. It’s SO easy to make and can feed a crowd. You can also share this with your kids’ classmates, teachers, at school parties or functions, at work, with co-workers, neighbors, and friends! It really is a Christmas Treat that EVERYONE can enjoy!
So call it puppy chow or muddy buddies, either way, I call you right.
Christmas Muddy Buddies Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1 Stick of Butter
- 1 Bag Red Candy Melts
- 1 Bag Green Candy Melts
- 8 Cups Chex Cereal
- 2 Cups Pretzel Sticks
- 1 Cup Red & Green M&Ms
- 1 lb. Bag of Powdered Sugar
DIRECTIONS:
- Melt 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1/2 stick of butter, and Red Candy Melts in a Bowl.
- Do the same with the Green Candy Melts.
- Mix a portion of the Pretzels and Chex in the Red Mixture, and a portion of the Pretzels and Chex in the Green Mixture. Be sure to keep them separate at this point so the colors don’t mix.
- Once the chex and pretzels are coated with red and green, toss them in Powdered Sugar.
- Add Red & Green M&Ms and toss it all together!
