These Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites are SO easy to make and are perfect for all of your Easter events and family activities. The salty and sweet combo is of course a timeless favorite. Pretzels and M&Ms always together so well, don’t you think? And, I love that these take under 20 minutes to make!
How to Make Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites
Even though you only need three ingredients for this Easter snack, I do have some tips and tricks for the BEST way to put them all together. That way, they’ll look neat, not drippy, and your bunny faces will be perfect!
Ingredients for Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites
- Candy Melts – I used bright white Candy Melts so the color of the bunnies would pop! You could also use pastel pink candy melts, too! I think the other colors of candy melts would be too dark and not match the pastel M&Ms, though.
- Pretzels – I really prefer the square Snyder’s Snaps pretzels. They have smaller holes than the traditional-shaped pretzels so it provides a sturdier base for your snack.
- Easter M&Ms – Be sure to get the pastel ones!
In addition the ingredients, though this is completely optional, you can grab this Fine-Tip Edible Marker on Amazon! I really like the fine tip so the Easter Bunny faces look neat and not sloppy like they would with a thicker marker. I had some trouble finding one locally, but of course Amazon came to the rescue!
Instructions for Easter Bunny Pretzel Treats
First, lay out 20 pretzels on a microwave safe plate and place one candy melt in the center of each pretzel.
You’ll need two M&Ms of the same color for each Easter Bunny Pretzel Snack. One M&M will be the face and the other M&M will be the ears. Choose your colors and cut one of the M&MS in half for each bunny.
After you have all of the M&MS prepared, microwave the plate of pretzels and Candy Melts for 30 seconds. This will allow the candy melt to become slightly melted, but not TOO melty that it will lose its shape or begin melting between the holes of the pretzel. As you know, microwave times are different, so you might need to adjust the 30 seconds accordingly.
Next, you’ll have to work quickly and place the M&Ms in the easter bunny shape on each candy melt before they harden again. This is why I only microwave 20 at a time. If you microwaved more, you wouldn’t have enough time to complete each one before they hardened again. Keep working in increments of 20 until you make all of the Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites that you’d like!
Lastly, let the candy harden and then draw the faces on. Make a little nose, mouth, eyes, and whiskers, if you’d like!
And that’s it! I told you these would be easy to make! My favorite kind of treats are easy and cute, just like this one. Let me know if you try making these yourself and have a happy Easter!
