How to Make Sheet Pan Caramel Apples
This is a super quick and easy recipe, because there aren’t a lot of ingredients. I’ll show you the step by step process though, just in case you prefer to have detailed instructions! You are going to LOVE making these!!
Ingredients for Sheet Pan Caramel Apples
- 3 bags Kraft Caramel Bits
- 3 TBSP Heavy Cream
- 5-6 Granny Smith apples
- Toppings (Your favorite caramel apple toppings!)
Topping Ideas for Caramel Apples
- Butterfinger Bits
- Coconut
- Peanuts
- Chopped Pretzels
- Drizzled Nutella
- M&Ms
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Sprinkles
- Dried Fruit
- Drizzled White Chocolate
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Slice the apples and dry them with paper towels. Arrange the slices on baking sheet. Since you’ll be spreading the caramel over the top of the apples, try to space the apples as close together as possible!
Next, place the caramel bits and heavy whipping cream in a medium sized, microwave-safe mixing bowl. This is an easy way to make delicious caramel topping for your Sheet Pan Caramel Apples!
Melt the caramel bits and cream in 30-second increments, stirring in between every time, until smooth and completely melted.
Pour the hot caramel mixture over the apple slices and gently spread it with a spatula coated with cooking spray (so the caramel doesn’t stick) until the apples are evenly coated.
Let caramel cool slightly, then top with favorite toppings. Serve when caramel is solid and completely cooled. Cover and store leftovers in the fridge.
Do you use wax paper or parchment paper for caramel apples?
I have always used parchment paper to make this Sheet Pan Caramel Apple recipe, because the hot caramel could slightly melt wax paper.
