Ingredients Needed
Red and Blue Fresh Fruit – I chose blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries for this , but you can change it up depending on your favorites!
Frozen Lemonade – Be sure you thaw this out partially, first! You can use Minute Maid or even the store brand.
How to Make
The full instructions for this Patriotic Lemonade Fruit Salad are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post, but this is a visual walk though for readers who prefer to see the steps!
First, wash all of your fruit well and cut up, if needed. I cut up the strawberries, but left the blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries whole. Combine all fruit in a large mixing bowl. Add frozen lemonade and mix well. It’s really that easy to make this Patriotic Lemonade Fruit Salad!
If you’d like, you can serve it with sprigs of mint. I always like to keep mint in my fridge to garnish fruit and dessert recipes!
Storing Patriotic Lemonade Fruit Salad
You can keep this in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. Be sure to cover it in an air-tight container. I think the lemonade coating helps to seal the cut fruit like strawberries in order to make it last longer!
Can I choose other fruit?
You can choose whatever fruit are your favorites! You might think about adding watermelon or halved red grapes, if your family likes those.
Do I have to use lemonade?
You could also use limeade or orange juice to coat this Patriotic Lemonade Fruit Salad, instead! I really like the lemonade though, because the flavors mix so well together. But, limeade would be really delish, too! Or, orange juice would be great for a breakfast salad.
