This Pizza Monkey Bread is my children’s new favorite dinner! My husband loves it on game days, too! With layers of cheesy mozzarella, pizza sauce and pepperoni, this savory monkey bread tastes amazing! Even though it’s really easy to make, I have step by step instructions below. If you prefer to skip right down to the recipe card to screenshot or print, you can do that, too!
How to Make Pizza Monkey Bread
It’s actually very easy to make Pizza Monkey Bread! I love this recipe because you only need a few easy ingredients.
Ingredients for Pizza Monkey Bread
- Refrigerated biscuits
- Pizza sauce – The amount you use depends on your personal taste!
- Pepperoni – Again, you can make this as spicy as you like! My kids loooove pepperoni, so I like to use a lot in this recipe.
- Mozzarella Cheese – The amount is optional with this ingredient, too; you can make it as cheesy as you like! This is a no-fail recipe!
- Italian seasoning
- Minced garlic
- Olive oil
Tools You’ll Need
- Bundt Pan – The only thing you will need that you may not already have is a Bundt pan. I like this Bundt pan by Wilton. The price is reasonable, yet it’s very heavy and durable. I have had this exact one for years and it has held up well and not rusted!
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Cut each biscuit into 4 equal pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl. Add your olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic and half the cheese you’re using to the biscuit pieces. Gently toss well to mix.
Add half of the biscuit mixture to a greased Bundt pan to cover the bottom of the pan. Add a layer of pizza sauce, then mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top.
Next, cover with the remaining biscuit pieces and repeat the layers of sauce, cheese and pepperoni again. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until cooked through and the biscuits begin turning golden.
I hope you liked this Pizza Monkey Bread! Let me know if you tried this recipe!!
What kind of biscuits to use for Pizza Monkey Bread?
I used buttermilk biscuits for this Pizza Monkey Bread recipe. However, homestyle biscuits would work well, too! I would not use the flaky layers biscuits. I don’t think those would have the traditional monkey bread texture that you’re looking for.
