How to Make Valentine M&M Blondies
This Valentine M&M Blondie recipe combines together quickly with a mixer and only has a handful of ingredients!
Ingredients for Valentine M&M Cookie Bars
- Salted butter, softened
- Packed brown sugar
- Chocolate Chips
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Baking powder
- Flour
- Valentine M&Ms
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees before you begin making your Valentine M&M Blondies. Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper. Place butter and brown sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Mix together with a mixer on high until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat again on high.
Next, add baking powder and half the flour and mix together on low with the mixer. Add the rest of the flour and mix on low until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and 1 cup of the M&M candies with a spoon. Spread the batter in the prepared dish. Save the extra 1/2 cup of M&Ms for after they’re done baking.
Bake the Valentine M&M Blondies for 22-25 minutes or until the edges turn golden and the center looks dry. Press the remaining M&Ms gently into the top as soon as you remove the blondies from the oven. Let the cookie bars cool completely before cutting into squares, about 1-2 hours. Store in a sealed container.
What is the difference between a blondie and a brownie?
The main difference is that brownies will have cocoa powder and / or chocolate to add chocolatey flavor. On the other hand, blondies get their flavor from the vanilla and brown sugar.
Is a blondie the same thing as a cookie?
At first glance, they do look the same! However, blondies are richer and more gooey, like a vanilla brownie!

Notes
Adding the M&Ms on top after baking will ensure the M&Ms won't crack and will still look visually appealing. If you bake the M&Ms on top, they will most likely crack and not look as pretty!
