My family is SO excited for the start of football season! This Waffle Fry BLT appetizer idea for game day is a fun bite-sized spin on a classic sandwich. This BLT snack is perfect or kids or adults alike!
How to Make a Waffle Fry BLT
These can be put together assembly-line style and whip up in a snap!
Ingredients for Waffle Fry BLT Game Day Appetizers
- Waffle Fries, baked
- Tomato, thinly sliced
- Green leaf lettuce, roughly chopped
- Mayonnaise
- Cooked bacon, cut in half
Instructions for Waffle Fry BLT Game Day Snack Idea
First, match up the already baked (or fried) waffle fries according to size. I tried my best to pair the larger ones and the smaller ones together, so they’d look sandwich-like.
Next, assemble the BLT in the following order: bacon, tomato, lettuce. I added a tablespoon of mayo into the corner of a sandwich bag and cut off the corner so I could pipe it onto the mini BLTs. That worked really well! Top it with the mayo and the top waffle fry.
Serve immediately, so the fries don’t get soggy from the ingredients. If you’d like, place a cocktail toothpick in each Waffle Fry BLT to hold it together. They’re also much easier to pick up from the serving platter with a toothpick!
