Cookies and Cream Cookies are the ultimate cookie recipe for cookie lovers! If you love Hershey’s cookie and cream candy bar, you will love these simple cookies.
Cookies and Cream Cookies
I totally understand why Oreos are the World’s Favorite Cookie! The sweet creamy filling sandwiched in between two crunchy chocolate cookies. It is just irresistible in our home.
Do You Have To Refrigerate Cookie Dough
Yes, you do need to refrigerate this cookie dough. The reason being is the dough will spread out really thin if it isn’t chilled. So your cookies will be flat and the texture of the cookies will vary.
Refrigerating the dough helps to firm it up so when you go to bake they stay nice and fluffy for you.
How To Make These Cookies And Cream Cookies
Step 1: Start by creaming your butter and cream cheese together in a stand mixer or hand mixer. You will mix for around a minute. Then mix in the powdered sugar a little at a time. Followed by eggs and vanilla.
Step 2: In a small bowl add all dry ingredients and slowly incorporate them into the cookie dough. Once mixed toss in crush cookies and fold in with a spatula.
Step 3: Once your cookie dough is mixed up, you will cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. The dough needs to be super chilled or it will not cook up properly.
Step 4: Now you will take your dough and use a tablespoon-sized scoop to place your cookie dough on a cookie sheet. These big scoop cookie dough balls will help give you that thick and creamy cookie.
Bake as directed in the recipe card printed below.
How Do You Know When Cookies Are Done
I love doing the toothpick test. Stick a toothpick in the center of your cookie and if it comes out clean it is done. The cookies will also look more formed up on top and not wet.
Can I Double This Recipe
